An adventure.

Just came back from a splendid little mini vacation, visiting my best friend in Harrisburg for the weekend. It was a great time to catch up on the in-betweens of life since the wedding, winters arrival, and already the up-and-coming 2nd semester that is right around the corner. Our days consisted of good food, long chats, cold walks, exploring Harrisburg's little hidden beauties and spending hours at the Salvation Army, finding what just might be our favorite "new" outfits. On Sunday we discovered the most darling little place called the Yellow Bird Cafe, full of awesome food, pleasant people, and an undoubtedly cheery atmosphere. We stopped in for breakfast, and then hopped on over next door to The Midtown Scholar bookstore for hot chocolate and early afternoon desert. I suggest the lemon bars ;) And of course we had to explore all the little underground corridors full of ancient books from floor to ceiling. That place is magnificent. Sometimes you just need a weekend of spending money, decadent eating, and cafe hopping. Trying my best to remember that some days you just need to treat yourself.
